Bike week used to be a few days of racing on the beach track until around 1960 when they moved all racing to the Daytona Speedway where the venue has changed from a race to more of an invasion of biking enthusiast and tourism. Bike Week has become a major draw for tourist income and is coordinated with the Daytona 500 race during the same time period. Spring Break, Daytona Beach and Bike Week are big events for the March time of year in Daytona Beach.

Daytona is gearing up for bike week where thousands of bikers sporting their Harley Davidson, Choppers and Crotch Rockets either race or rumble to East Central Florida sporting millions of dollars in cycling hardware and thousands of beautiful biker chicks. Turn a friend on to a fishing trip while you're in Daytona and cruise down for a great day on the water between events to relax on the crystal clear waters a few minutes ride south.

We've had many of you for years during the month of February and March when redfish, sea trout and possibly a cobia or two start showing up on Florida's east coast. I look forward to seeing many of you again in 2008 during one of the best months in Florida.
